The NVIDIA RTX 3080 Is Now Bidding for Over $110,100 AUD on eBay

People are bidding to buy someone else’s pre-orders

The NVIDIA RTX 3080 went on sale on the earlier and it instantly sold out upon release. However, many buyers have already put the highly coveted graphics card on eBay for exorbitant resell prices. There was even a bid that goes as high as $80,600 USD (approxiamately $110,100) on an RTX 3080 Founders Edition.

 

Although many have speculated the RTX 3080 would be short in supply until the end of the year, no one expected it would get so much attention and be priced high on the resell market. Currently, the listing on eBay has been taken down. But there are some RTX 3080 listings going as high as $70,100 USD (approximately $95,700) with 109 bids and 103 watchers.

 

The most notable about most of these extremely high bids is that people are bidding to buy someone else’s pre-orders from retailers rather than the physical RTX 3080 already in the possession of the seller. One of these pre-ordered RTX 3080 graphics card have already sold for $50,000 USD (approximately $68,300) soon after the card debuted for only $699 USD ($958 AUD) retail.
