While the Floating Seahorse Villas in Dubai are named after the marine creatures, these villas are not completely submerged under the water. Instead, half of these villas float above the surface while the other half is submerged in the water. They are situated in the “Heart of Europe,” as part of the World Islands.

The World Islands in Dubai are a collection of 300 artificial islands designed just like the world’s map. From above, one could identify different countries on the World Islands.

The Floating Seahorse Villas are a Kleindienst Group project situated right alongside Sweden, Germany, and the Netherlands on the World Islands. While this is not the only luxurious attraction that Dubai offers, the Floating Seahorse villas are certainly one of a kind.

The Floating Seahorse units are the product of more than 5,000 hours of research and 13,000 hours of design and engineering, according to the design firm.

These retreats are like hybrid boat houses. However, they do not have a navigation or propulsion system. Instead, they have been anchored to the ocean bed after being brought into place using construction cranes.

Featuring three stories, these floating villas set nestled right within the World Islands offer plenty of amenities. First, we have a primary bathroom and a bedroom on the submerged floor. The bedroom features a large window with rounded corners, giving amazing views of the Dubai Ocean life.

The part submerged in water is constructed with marine-level concrete. On the other hand, the upper floors above the water’s surface are made of lightweight aluminium. In the feet above, we’ve got a dining area, kitchen, and an open living area.

Then, there is a minibar, another deck, a hot tub, and a kitchenette on the top of the Floating Seahorse Villas. From here, one can enjoy calm views above sea level.

The World Islands Floating Seahorse Villas

The very first Floating Seahorse villa in Dubai was placed last year. The first phase will cover 78 homes, while 131 villas will eventually be set into place in the World Islands.

Currently, US$2,990,506 is the asking price for a villa spanning 4000 square feet with one bedroom and two bathrooms. The price might be fair, considering the luxurious nature of these villas, and the Dubai International Airport also serves the area.
