Bugatti Divo – Bugatti

Bugatti Divo is one of the most talked hypercars these days. The car has many attractive features and is exclusive too. Only a limited number of this car is being produced, and for these reasons, the car is already sold out. Read on to know why people are crazy over this hypercar.

Launched just two years after the record-smashing Bugatti Chiron, Bugatti Divo is a pleasant surprise for car lovers. The car is lighter than its predecessor. It is just 77 pounds and still has the same engine, an 8 litre W16 that delivers 1479 horsepower. It is slower than Chiron as it offers only 236 mph as compared to 261 mph of Chiron. But still, Divo can make Nardò handling circuit about eight seconds faster than a Chiron.

Bugatti Divo’s name has special significance too. It is named after Albert Divo, a French racing driver who won the Targa Florio race with Bugatti Type 25 in 1928 and 1929. The car also has 198 pounds of extra downforce than a Chiron.

Bugatti Divo has new air intakes which help in cutting the cross-sectional area of the car. When coupled with the fins on the side, they also create an air curtain that improves airflow over and around the hypercar. The front spoiler also has extra vents that help in ensuring more cooling air gets into a body.

There is a new design over the roof that forms flow-optimized NACA air duct. It is feeding down into the engine compartment cover that has been reworked. The brakes are cooler thanks to changes in the wheel arch venting. It also has a new height-adjustable rear spoiler at the back.

Car lovers will also admire the custom paintwork like matte Titanium Liquid Silver on the top and the Divo Racing Blue highlights. The sideline of Bugatti Divo is slimmer and the vertically oriented lights that make the car look wider. It also has 3D lights in the rear grille, a customer light animation and fins that maximize the light output.

“With the Divo, Bugatti is reviving a long-forgotten coachbuilding tradition,” stated by Stephan Winkelmann, President of Bugatti. “The limited and extremely high-performance hyper sports car has its own exclusive character, features enhanced lateral acceleration, agility and cornering characteristics and is an absolute must-have for any Bugatti enthusiast’s hyper sports car collection. With the new design of the Divo and its completely different handling performance, we have succeeded in creating a true masterpiece of automotive craftsmanship that fully revives our long-standing tradition of coachbuilding.”
