Just recently, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson posted a video on Instagram, talking about his “Sunday Philosophy” for success. Without a doubt, the 49-year-old action star is among the highest-paid and hardworking men in Hollywood.

Indeed, The Rock is no less than an inspiration for many because he started without any financial means (or big contacts). In fact, for a big part of his life, his family struggled financially. Dwayne has also been quite vocal about suffering from depression during his early teenage years.

So, what is it that turned his life around? “Make time to work out on Sundays”, says Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

According to the action star, working on Sundays, whether it be hitting a gym or anything that you are aiming for, can give you the edge over others who have taken the day off. He stated, “it inherently sharpens those tools that set you up for success. It is doing that a little bit extra. It is doing that little more when most aren’t.”

Of course, mental exhaustion from work can burn one out. Though, The Rock mentions that you do not necessarily have to work crazy hours on Sunday. However, it is just the little more that will give you the edge.

Currently, The Rock boasts a massive Instagram following of 250 million followers. Just like all his videos, this one also received tons of likes and positive reactions. Even Michael Phelps commented, “For sure!!! Gotta get something in every day!”

Indeed, validation from athletes like Phelps suggests that Dwayne’s philosophy on life could truly be effective.

The Rock has figured out what it takes to be successful and to rise above the ranks in a world that is full of immense competition. And the action star is not just “all-talk”. Instead, he has a proven record of successes lined up behind him.

So, perhaps, you would want to take his advice and see how (or whether) it brings a positive change to your life. Even if it does not, fret not and figure out what works the best for you!
