The richest men in the world are apparently on the race to conquer space. While Jeff Bezos has been trying to hit the skies, Richard Branson just announced that he will be taking off into space in July. This would happen just a couple of days before Bezos and would make Richard Branson the first billionaire in space.

Virgin Galactic just recently announced that the next test flight in space would take off on the 11th of July. And Richard Branson would be among the 6 passengers on the flight. This news came no too long after Blue Origins by Jeff Bezos announced that the billionaire would be making a journey to space on 20th July alongside 5 other passengers.

If Richard Branson ends up in space on the specified date, he will beat Bezos by a difference of 9 days. It would indeed be a new record for a billionaire to be traveling into space in his vessel.

Regarding this, Richard Branson stated, “I’ve always been a dreamer. My mum taught me to never give up and to reach for the stars. On July 11, it’s time to turn that dream into a reality aboard the next Virgin Galactic spaceflight.”

For Virgin Galactic, this would be the 4th space trip. The rocket ship will fly into space from New Mexico. While Richard Branson is flying alongside his employees, Bezos will also have his brother on the trip along with Wally Funk, an aerospace pioneer who has been waiting for this day for 60 years.

But these are not the only two billionaires. Elon Musk is also making some real progress in space travel. His company, SpaceX will send the first spaceflight to space with space tourists. Though, Elon Musk does not seem to have an interest in joining the passengers, currently.

The Virgin Galactic flight will last for around 10 minutes with 3 minutes of weightlessness that the crew will experience.

In other news, Klein Vision successfully ran an inter-city travel test of the flying car (AirCar) – a hybrid super-vehicle that can transform into a car and a place with the push of a single button.
