Joe Biden Wins and Becomes the 46th President of The United States

The time has come for which millions of Americans were desperately waiting. Yes, America has chosen Joe Biden as the 46th President of the nation. After the exhausting single term of Trump, Americans are expecting Biden to bring back calm and peace.

Joe Biden mentioned that he feels “humbled and honored” for the trust that Americans have in him. He added, “In the face of unprecedented obstacles, a record number of Americans voted. Proving once again, that democracy beats deep in the heart of America … With the campaign over, it’s time to put the anger and the harsh rhetoric behind us and come together as a nation.”

His running mate, Kamal Harris will be the very first black woman from South Asia to be the Vice President. She posted a victory call on Twitter earlier, saying “We did it, we did it, Joe. You’re going to be the next President of the United States.”

When the race was called in the favor of Joe Biden, the former Vice President, Trump was on a golf course. Well, he seems to show no intention to give up on the US Presidential election race. While he was on the way to his Virginia course, he said in a tweet, “I WON THIS ELECTION, BY A LOT!”

At the same time, supporters of Joe Biden flooded to the streets to celebrate the victory of the new president, while wearing their face marks. Their strict adherence to the safety protocols of the pandemic simply shows how serious they are about it.

Joe Biden has mentioned that he aims to restore the nation’s character and to bring back the dignity that the White House hat lost. As Biden is about to turn 78 years old at the end of November, he will now b the oldest president to be elected.

According to his supporters, Biden is the perfect person to deal with the on-going issues. These include the current public health emergency, economic slump, and issues like racism/police brutality that were widespread under Donald Trump.

With that in a recent statement, the former president Obama also provided testimony in favor of Joe Biden, asking the Americans to lend him their support and to give him a chance.
