Though Leonardo DiCaprio is considered one of the most desirable real estate collectors, his charm and property list only increase with time. He expanded his portfolio by buying Malibu Retreat for US$ 13.89 million (about AU$ 18.71 million). It is an oceanfront property which is far away from the city and its terrible traffic noises. The deal was closed last month, and it was an off-market deal.

Leonardo DiCaprio is also planning to sell off some assets from his wide portfolio. For starters, he has decided to sell off a property located on Carbon Beach. The price of that home is US$ 10 million (about AU$ 13.56 million).

Fans of the star know that Leonardo DiCaprio often invests in property. In 2017, the actor paid US$ 23 million (AU$ 31.18 million) for an all-but-vacant lot atop Malibu’s Paradise Cove. He has not done much to that property till now. He might build a lavish, eco-conscious retreat in the future on that land.

The latest Malibu Retreat bought by Leonardo DiCaprio remains a mystery as there are no photos or inside details available for access by the public. According to tax records, the two-storey structure was built in 2005 and covers an area of about 3,200 square feet. The property also has four bedrooms and five bathrooms. The previous owner of the house was Rick Delamarter, an orthopaedic surgeon.

This stunning acquisition by Leonardo DiCaprio is set atop a sparsely used sandy beach. It is situated in Blue Whale Estates which is a little-known gated community that has just five homes. All of these homes have direct access to the ocean.

In addition to the new Malibu Resort, Leonardo DiCaprio also owns a vacant lot, two multi-million-dollar homes that are situated in Los Feliz, many condos in New York City, a beautifully preserved Palm Springs mansion, and a private island that is situated off the coast of Belize. His main residence is a three-house and four parcel compound that is located in L.A.’s Bird Streets neighbourhood.
