Maserati has unveiled the Maserati MC20 with the hopes to revive the brand. It is a mid-engine supercar with amazing features, internally and externally. Please have a look below to know why it is so special.

The 2021 Maserati MC20 has butterfly doors that are the main attraction point and give you the supercar experience. It also has a mid-mounted 463kW/730Nm 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6. The engine is unique because it is the first engine that has been developed and manufactured by Maserati in the last two decades. Before this, the engines were built by Ferrari and supplied to Maserati.

This attractive vehicle also has 90-degree V6 that propels the car from zero to 100km per hour in just 2.9 seconds. It also has an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The drive is through the rear wheels thanks to a limited-slip differential. It also has an optional electronic diff available.

The 2021 Maserati MC20 has 20-inch wheels that hide 380mm ventilated disks and six-piston Brembo calliper Brembo callipers which are at the front. It also has 350mm ventilated discs that have four-piston callipers located at the back.

Potential buyers of 2021 Maserati MC20 can choose carbon brakes to enhance stopping performance. The interior of the car has a 10-inch digital instrument cluster as well as 10-inch infotainment with Alexa smart assist. The driver will have a choice from four driving modes. 2021 Maserati MC20’s interior is filled with leather, carbon-fibre and Alcantara.

The 2021 Maserati MC20 weighs about 1500 kgs with the use of carbon fibre. It will be released in 2021. It took just two years to develop this supercar. It is the first car unveiled by the carmaker in a series of 10 models, all of which are expected to be unveiled before the end of 2023 to revive the brand.

Maserati is also planning an electric version of Maserati MC20 in the future that would probably have a driving range of 325 Km as per WLTP tests and a faster 0-100km/h time. It seems that the brand is trying to follow the electrification path after the launch of 2021 Maserati Ghibli, the first electric model. Another example of Maserati’s attempt to revive its brand image was Maserati Ghibli Trofeo, the fastest Maserati sedan.
