Have you ever seen the expression of awe and wonder that appears on people’s faces when a magician pulls a rabbit out of a hat? If not, you can see it now when you tell people that the World’s first carbon negative vodka is here. Yes, you read it right. Air Co. has created this miraculous drink that would make vodka lovers toast to celebrate the great news.

The world’s first carbon-negative vodka doesn’t use grain or yeast but carbon dioxide from the atmosphere of the earth. Another astonishing thing about this vodka is that it uses carbon dioxide which is equal to the daily carbon intake of eight trees. It doesn’t mean that you should be an alcoholic like James Bond but only that you can switch your regular vodka with the world’s first carbon negative vodka if you want to do a bit to protect the environment.

The process of making the world’s first carbon negative vodka is quite simple. It begins from converting the carbon dioxide into pure ethanol by using a solar-based electrical procedure (another point for protecting the environment). Then Air Co.’s proprietary technique is used to purify and dilute ethanol. It is done by using a twenty-plate vodka still. (once the vodka is in the market, you can make it interesting by using one of these easy cocktail recipes).

The world’s first carbon negative soda has no carbs, sugars, gluten, or any impurities. Each vodka is hand bottled with reusable and removable labels. As people haven’t tasted this vodka yet, there is no word on what it tastes like.

Air Co. is focused on creating products by using excess carbon. It was confirmed by the co-founder and the CEO of the company, Gregory Constantine, who also worked as a former executive at spirits giant Diageo. He said “We are a technology and lifestyle brand producing consumer goods by capturing excess carbon from the air and transforming it into things of value—one product at a time.”

The brand launched in New York soon and the world’s first negative vodka would be made available in bars and restaurants in New York City during this holiday season. It would cost USD 65 for the Americans. There is no word on an Australia launch till now. Keep checking this space for more.
