Apple has a knack for surprising its fans with something new, unique and exciting. The company is not letting it go of this habit even during the coronavirus crisis. Numerous rumours from reliable sources like Bloomberg have shared that the company is planning unique stuff for the new iPhone and it will remind you of the iPhone 5 and the iPad Pro.

The company is probably planning a design refresh for the new iPhone devices (that will remind people of the iPhone 5) and the iPad Pro. The new iPhones were to be released this year, but there might be a delay of at least a couple of weeks as COVID-19 has hit the international supply chain.

Talking about new iPhone devices, Apple might be planning to launch two high-end devices and two lower-end ones. The high-end versions would likely have flat stainless-steel edges and rounded corners that might make a user think of the iPad Pro that was launched in 2018. It is also likely that the company will let go of sloping edges that were on iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max. The flat screens will remind people of the iPhone 5 as well.

Coming to features, Apple will probably have a LIDAR system on high-end devices. It was first introduced in iPad Pro. The company might also be planning to add a larger panel for the new Pro Max. There is also a possibility of a smaller notch.

The design changes in the new iPhone devices that will probably be inspired by iPhone 5 or iPad Pro have not been confirmed yet as the representatives of the company didn’t speak on the matter by the time of writing this article. It is also likely that Apple is not working on any of these changes, but is working on other possibilities like a foldable iPhone.

The company might also scrap the changes planned with the new iPhone devices and might not make design changes inspired from iPhone 5 or iPad Pro. It has done that previously by scrapping features if they didn’t work out as the company assumed they would.

In addition to working on design changes inspired from iPhone 5 or iPad Pro for the new iPhone devices, the company is probably also working on newer versions of MacBook Pro, Apple TV and is likely working on a new iMac and refreshed budget iPads as well.
