New reports suggest that The Weeknd just bought a new Bel Air mansion for US$70 million, which would roughly be equal to AU$98 million. Hence, this has become the largest LA property deal in the year 2021, so far.

This magnificent house was previously owned by Reinout Oerlemans and Danielle Oerlemans. The couple stated that they did not have a plan to sell the house that they just renovated recently. However, their decision changed when Branden and Rayni, two real estate agents talked about showing the property to The Weeknd.

Regarding this, Rayni Williams stated that they knew The Weeknd was looking for a new house. Considering the unique allure of this mansion and the amenities present in it, the agents knew that it could be a perfect addition to the star’s property portfolio.

Initially, though, both Danielle Oerlemans and Reinout Oerlemans were resisting the idea of selling their beloved house. However, eventually, they decided to sell it in an off-market deal.

This new Bel Air mansion covers an area of 1.6 acres and overlooks the Bel-Air Country Club. The mansion features 9 bedrooms, with several amenities that include a spa, a hammam, a sauna, indoor pool, a sports court, a gym, a movie theatre, and of course, a music studio.

Without a doubt, this home is not only dramatic but also quite modern. It features a large entertaining space in the living room with a black fireplace and high-gloss walls painted orange. The dining room has a formal look with coffered ceilings and a fireplace.

Indeed, this mansion would be a perfect fit for The Weeknd, as the star is known for his great taste in properties.

The interior of this Bel Air mansion has been redesigned completely by the Oerlemans who worked with their top interior designer. The couple also importer the best furniture from all over the globe, including the Netherlands, their native country.

Whether or not The Weeknd will live here for a significant time before deciding to sell it off, is a different story.

It is not just The Weeknd, though. Hollywood celebrities are known for having a rich taste in luxurious properties.

Just recently, Floyd Mayweather also purchased a new and magnificent Miami Beach house.
