He’ll take a leap on his 50th birthday.

On his 50th Birthday, Will Smith decided to do a bungee jump out of a helicopter over the Grand Canyon. Before the actual helicopter bungee jump, a dummy was tested and the dummy’s leg fell off during the action. (Yikes!)

After this event, Smith seemed to be afraid according to the sources. He explained, “I’ve had a whole lifetime of feeling squashed, squelched and controlled by fear.” Will continued, “I hate being scared. I don’t want to be scared to do shit. […] Fear keeps you from seeing beauty.”

This event was watched by his family including his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, as well as his kids Trey, Willow, and Jaden. Will Smith looked very nervous before the jump but with the support of his family and friend he soon got into it and blew kisses to the crowd.

As a matter of fact, the jump is part of an ongoing tv series—namely, “Will Smith.” However, Will Smith perform the jump in order to accept the challenge of Yes Theory and raise donations for the program—coined “Education Cannot Wait.”
