Adam Savage Makes it Happen: Creates an Iron Man Suit
Adam Savage – Savage Builds

There is some good news for the fans of the Marvel universe who think that they have nothing to do at the moment but to await the release of Spider-Man: Far from Home. You can now pass the time by looking at the images of a real-life Iron Man suit by Adam Savage, the ex-Mythbusters head honcho.

Though this suit is not as extravagant as the real Iron Man suit, the iconic combat suit by Savage deserves the attention. It is also different from the suit donned by Tony Stark because it has too many rocket boosters that can make a person look like the back end of a fighter jet. It was shown as a part of Savage’s new show, Savage Builds that focuses on recreating gizmos and advanced gadgets from popular culture.

The Iron Man suit is created by Richard Browning of Gravity Industries who has a specialty in jetpacks, and he has admitted that the suit isn’t as smooth as the one donned by Stark but feels more like a massive wetsuit.

Still, the Iron Suit is a marvel all Marvel fans would cherish. It is designed on the basis of the Mark II Iron Man suit that was seen in the first Iron Man movie. The makers of this innovation got files directly from Marvel and converted then to printable templates which were woven out of ultra strong and ultra-light materials like Nylon, Fibreglass, and Titanium. It is made from 3D printed titanium, which means it’s quite expensive.

If you put on this Iron Man suit, you will get bullet-proof protection. Although, you might need to put together over 280 individual parts which can be quite tedious and time-consuming.

In the show, Savage took a flight in the Iron Suit, but it’s clear that taking a rocket suit in the sky won’t be possible anytime soon. The full episode of Savage Builds is free to watch on the website of the Discovery channel. It’s an eight-episode series that is made to win the hearts of geeks! After all, Savage is the internet’s long-time favourite geek. Won’t you agree?
