Disney+ will Release a Star Wars: The Mandalorian Docuseries
It will be a BTS that follows executive producer Jon Favreau
Disney announced a new eight-episode documentary series on the production of Star Wars: The Mandalorian will be arriving on its Disney+ streaming service. The docuseries will follow executive producer Jon Favreau around, taking viewers behind-the-scenes of The Mandalorian, interacting with the cast and crew involved with the blockbuster show, and him featuring unreleased footage.
“Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian is an opportunity for fans of the show to take a look inside and get to see a different perspective, and perhaps a greater understanding, of how The Mandalorian came together and some of the incredibly talented contributors throughout Season 1,” stated by Favreau. “We had a great experience making the show and we’re looking forward to sharing it with you.”
Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian will also feature “the filmmaking process, the legacy of George Lucas’ Star Wars, how the cast brought the characters to life, the series’ groundbreaking technology, the artistry behind the show’s practical models, effects, and creatures, plus the creative influences, the iconic score, and connections to Star Wars characters and props from across the galaxy,” according to a statement released to the press.
The first episode of the docuseries, Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, is expected to be released on Disney Plus on the 4th of May 2020, together with release of the series finale of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. There will be a new episode every Friday from there onwards.
