Margot Robbie Wows Fans in the New Birds of Prey Trailer
Harley Quinn doesn’t need the Joker
Margot Robbie is one of the most phenomenal actresses of our time. Her performances in Suicide Squad film have been appreciated by people all over the world. And she is slaying us all with her deadly looks in the Birds of Prey trailer that was released on Tuesday.
In Birds of Prey, Margot Robbie, who was last seen in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood as Sharon Tate, plays the role of Harley Quinn and teams up with Jurnee Smollett-Bell’s Black Canary, Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s Huntress, Ella Jay Basco’s Cassandra Cain, and Rosie Perez’s Renee Montoya. The deadly squad will face off against Chris Messina’s Victor Zsasz and Ewan McGregor’s Roman Sionis, aka Black Mask.

Margo Robbie’s Harley was known as Joker’s girlfriend, but she broke up with him and made her own path. The first look of the film was shared via a clip in January. Then the fans got to enjoy a teaser trailer attached to IT Chapter 2. The first movie poster was revealed on September 17.

Though Birds of Prey looks awesome from a few glimpses we have had of it, this is not the first time the team has had a live-action appearance. A TV show called Birds of Prey has been released some time back, and you likely missed it. It was a short-lived TV show that ran for 13 episodes in 2002 and 2003. It was set in Gotham City abandoned by Batman, and three women had the responsibility to protect it when he was not there.\

It aired on The WB and starred Dina Meyer as Oracle, Ashley Scott as Huntress and Rachel Skarsten as Black Canary. In that show, Harley Quinn was the main villain who posed as Helena’s psychiatrist and tried to find her secrets while working to avenge the incarcerated Joker. Harley Quinn’s role was portrayed by Mia Sara and not Margot Robbie.
The Birds of Prey movie will be released on February 7 in the US. An Australian release date for the Margot Robbie’s film hasn’t been released yet. We’ll update you when we know of it. So, keep checking this space.
