They Just Announced a John Wick Video Game

There’s more Gun-Fu action in John Wick Hex

For all those waiting desperately for Borderlands 3 can now turn their attention to another promising strategy video game. This will feature amazing unlockable weapons that will keep the users’ interest going in the gaming. The new game is a spin-off of John Wick character and the announcement has been made by Good Shepherd Entertainment.

The name of the game is John Wick: Hex is a cel-shaded action video game. As of now, not much details have been revealed but one can fathom from announcement trailer of the PC-generated character is there to make the users enjoy some action.

This game is based on classy assassin Keanu Reeves’ John Wick and the trailer of the game has a voice-over that discusses the finer workings of Wick and his mastery of chess.

 

Wick is taken as an icon of vigilante justice and in this game, he will be at the center to fight as it does in the action-packed movie series. Mike Bithell who is popular for indie puzzler Thomas Was Alone is working on the development of the game and is expected to feature an original story.

As per Gamespot the strategy-based action is getting developed “in cooperation with the minds behind the film series” and is positively looking to capture the “gun-fu” action, which is staple fighting sequence of the silver screen series John Wick. Further, it has been described as “fight-choreographed chess brought to life as a video game.”

Nothing much is known about Keanu Reeves’ involvement in the video game but it has been made clear Lance Reddick, who is famous for his work in The Wire and Lost in addition to Ian McShane who is popular for Deadwood and American Gods will lend their voice talents to John Wick: Hex.

 

Unfortunately, for the fans of John Wick, no news of the release date is out. However, it is clear that the game will be made available during the launch for consoles Windows PC and Mac exclusively through the Epic Games Store. 

The announcement of the game comes at a time when many are waiting for the release of John Wick film series third installment. By the 17th of this month John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum will be released. Wait and watch how much this movie can create more interest among the game lovers for John Wick: Hex.
