Biggest Fails

The bigger you are, the harder you fall as the saying goes and this rings true for mega cities like New York, San Francisco, Paris, and London. These cities offer massive opportunity if you are willing to cope with a high crime rate, congestion, and astronomical costs of living. But these cities definitely fare much, much better than the ones below.

San Juan, Puerto Rico was hit by two hurricanes and hasn’t recovered since, corruption is rampant and crime rate is very high. Dhaka, Bangladesh and Lagos, Nigeria are in a downward spiral and its people are leaving in droves. And it goes without saying that war-torn Damascus, Syria is a no-go if opportunity is what you seek.

Even if you cant afford to travel, and even though your city isn’t in the world’s most liveable cities in 2018 list, don’t feel bad. Overall, global livability is on a steady rise, and this is a good sign your city will soon be here.
