Michael Jordan and his teammates composed of several NBA owners – the Lakers’ Jeanie Buss, the Bucks’ Wes Edens, and the Celtics Wyc Grousbeck plus his then-fiancée-now-wife Emilia Fazzalari – is joining a new game from basketball to the liquor business. Their brand’s name is Cincoro up against fellow liquor celebs like George Clooney’s Casamigos, Mana by The Rock, and Aviation of Ryan Reynolds.

If Michael Jordan‘s true second act is becoming a tequila mogul, celebs need to watch their back.

Everyone knows Michael Jordan, of course, hence his prominence in repping the product. Today he’s the principal owner of the Charlotte Hornets NBA franchise. From 1984 through 2003 he was one of the most dominant pro basketball players in history, leading the league in scoring for 10 seasons, all told.

When Michael Jordan decided to get into the tequila business, he could have slapped his name on the label, maybe autographed a few bottles and sold out the whole run in hours.

No matter what it tasted like.

The idea came about three years ago when Michael Jordan bonded over a love of tequila while having dinner with Grousbeck, Fazzalari, Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss and Milwaukee Bucks owner Wes Edens.

Here’s what’s dropping when Cincoro becomes available:

Unaged Blanco for $70 for Blanco (unaged),

8-10-month-old Reposado for $90

An Añejo—aged 24 to 28 months—for $130

For real ballers, 40 to 44 month-aged Extra Añejo, $1,600.

The brand has already sold out in the several U.S. markets and has plans to be in all 50 states by next year with hopes to take the company global in the future.

“We sold 300 cases in Massachusetts in the first three days,” said Celtics co-owner Wyc Grousbeck via Forbes. “The first reorders came through as well from Florida, where it was on sale for just a week.”
