Coronavirus scare is becoming bigger and terrifying day by day. After making people wonder how they can avoid it and forcing them to stock up on things, it has started to impact film releases. The first change has been in the release of No Time to Die. It was to be released in April but will now be released in November.

The James Bond film has been postponed for a couple of months so that people who are restricting themselves to their homes and avoiding public places can go to the theatres by that time. The announcement was made by Universal and Bond Pictures, MGM, Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson. They decided on postponing No Time to Die not only after careful consideration but a thorough evaluation of the global theatrical marketplace as well.

No Time to Die will be released on November 25, 2020, in the US and November 12, 2020, in the UK. The release dates for the rest of the world, including Australia, are yet to be announced. It was shared exclusively with Deadline.

Soon after the postponing of the release date of No Time to Die was revealed, people started wondering whether the release of two other major films Black Widow and Fast and Furious 9 will also be postponed or not. If it happens, it won’t be a big surprise as the Asian viewers are too terrified to visit a theatre and it will impact the overseas growth of these films. If Black Widow is postponed, it might replace the release of Marvels’ Eternals, which could be then released in 2021.

But unlike the makers of No Time to Die, Disney is adamant that they are not moving the release date of Black Widow. Universal did not even change the release date of F9 at the time of writing this article. Disney has even told its exhibition partners that they need to stay in line with the current release slate.
