If you have already watched Spider-Man: Far from Home multiple times and you are excited about another upcoming project from the MCU Universe, then you are in luck. It is being reported that The Eternals might have two new members in the cast. Gemma Chan and Barry Keoghan. They might join the upcoming film shortly.

 

People who want to know who Keoghan and Chan are should recall that Chan has already starred in  Marvel movie, Captain Marvel. She is also known for her role in Crazy Rich Asians. Barry Keoghan is famous for his role in Dunkirk and Chernobyl. Though the inclusion of Keoghan is confirmed, Chan is still in the talks to join The Eternals.

The Eternals, which will be an important part of MCU Phase 4 already stars some big names like Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Kumail Nanjiani and Richard Madden. Jolie will play the role of Thena, an Eternal with super speed, strength, and stamina. Madden will play the role of Ikaris while Hayek will play the role of Ajak.

This unique superhero adventure project will be directed by Chloe Zhao and is based on 1976 comic book series by Jack Kirby. The heroes received a dusting off by Neil Gaiman, an author in 2000s.

We must say the addition of new cast members is as exciting as anticipating Marvel’s Loki TV series on Disney Plus.

 

As the name suggests, The Eternals will feature near-immortal beings, who are known as Eternals. They are more vicious and superpowered than other beings. To put things in perspective, Thanos was just one of them, and he holds the credit of killing several superheroes we love.

It is not confirmed whether Chan would be reprising her role of Captain Marvel, where she played Minn-Erva or she will be playing a completely different character.

 

The Eternals will hit the theatres by the end of 2020. Some other MCU movies to salivate over in the MCU are Thor 4: Love and Thunder, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Black Widow, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Blade.
