Fiction fans who were still cheering about the Dune reboot news have one more reason to smile as the Terminator series also seems to be getting another movie. The Terminator series has proved to be very difficult to maintain the excitement and many fans have not been happy with the way Terminator: Salvation and Terminator: Genisys were created. If you are among such fans, then it’s time for you to rejoice as a new version of the highly loved Terminator series was revealed recently and it’s named Terminator: Dark Fate.

What impressed most of the fans about this trailer is that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton are making a comeback. Schwarzenegger seems to have kept his word because he said in the first Terminator movie, that released in 1984 that he will be back and he has done that. (Speaking of trailers, have you seen Gemini Man’s trailer yet?)

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s T-800 robot and Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor are not the only highlights, Terminator: Dark Fate will also see new characters too. Gabriel Luna will play the role of a homicidal robot while Mackenzie Davis will be a hybrid between human and terminator.

Terminator: Dark Fate also marks the return of James Cameron as the producer of the film. Tim Miller, known for Deadpool, will be directing the film. The new film will be a direct sequel to The Terminator and T2: Judgment Day. So, fans who haven’t watched Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Terminator: Salvation, or Terminator: Genisys don’t need to bother about watching those films now to be able to understand the story of Terminator: Dark Fate.

The main idea behind the Terminator: Dark Fate film’s creation is to transition the franchise to a younger cast so that the continuity of the story isn’t broken even after years pass.

The makers of Terminator: Dark Fate are also hopeful that this film will be the first part of a trilogy. But we think that the fate of the future films will be decided based on how the film performs. Don’t you think?
