Artificial Intelligence has taken one step ahead and unlocked a stage where the impossible is nearly becoming possible! The recent research paper presented by the Artificial Intelligence researchers of Samsung proved that creating a deepfake video of any person is possible and that too, by using just one image. Such Artificial Intelligence videos can show a person speaking and giving out usual facial expressions.

The new AI method of Samsung involves a specific simple process where the facial landmarks are applied on the source face (the documented model) and the Artificial Intelligence is used to make the target face do or express the similar things which the source face is doing or expressing. This new possibility of creating an entire video with the help of just one photo has opened doors of immense possibilities for animation experts and graphic learners who want to do something more innovative in the world of animation. In line with the AI growing constantly, there are few more examples that indicate making it ‘possible out of impossible’.

The Mona Lisa come to life!

As shown in the video, the artificial intelligence could make Mona Lisa, and other single-photo still portraits like the famous portraits of Albert Einstein, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, and Marilyn Monroe vividly come to life.

The second best example is from a Star Wars movie, ‘Solo- A Star Wars Story’. Actually, a Youtube user Derpfakes has created a series of scenes from this movie wherein the deepfake editing methods have been implemented to replace Alden Ehrenreich (the actor in Solo movie) with Harrison Ford. Ford’s face has been imposed upon Alden’s face.

The new success of Samsung in Artificial Intelligence is not yet perfect as you can easily observe the seams but it is a truth that when the work achieves complete success, the world of Artificial Intelligence will become even more enthralling!

Meanwhile, Apple is soon going to launch the Apple AR glasses (the Augmented Reality glasses) for it’s take on AI after the company’s success in Apple watch and Airpods. The new glasses will have their own display system along with wireless connectivity electronics and camera sensors. The sources said that these glasses will be light in weight and will also require less battery.
