The art of Dim Sum is like no other in Hong Kong. The frantic pace of life here requires something that is bite-sized and easy to eat. The classic Dim Sum dishes siu mai (steamed pork dumplings), har gow (steamed shrimp dumplings) and char siu bao (BBQ pork steamed buns) are all done to perfection, most notably in Michelin star restaurant like the intricate but well done twists of Duddell’s and the classic Cantonese of Fook Lam Moon. If you’re into Chinese food this is one to check off your bucket list.

Naples, Italy

It is extremely rare, and sacrilegious for someone to say they don’t like Italian Food. And thank Italy for inventing the pizza, an all in one life affirming circle of awesome. The Margherita here will certainly be a religious experience. The best spot to eat this amazing pizzais Di Matteo, but the lines can be long, like premier night long. But don’t fret, everyone in this fine city knows how to make a life changing pizza and pasta so go around town and eat!

Austin, Texas, USA

Americans go big or go home. If hearty meats are more your speed the best food experience lies in the fine city of Austin. They mainly serve pulled pork, ribs, sausage and more, but the main attraction is its smoked beef brisket. The beef brisket at Franklin Barbecue is fall apart tender and encased in a thin yummy crust and is akin to a party in your mouth, but all their meats are expertly prepared and are equally as great.

Basque, Spain

I will eat a tire if I find something better than having a nice drink while eating pintxos. Pintxos, also known as pincho, and tapas outside Basque, Spain are bite-sized snacks (can be a full meal if you choose) that look like open sandwiches but are so much more once you bite into them. Ranging from tiny finger foods that baffle your taste buds in a way that make you think “How can something so small taste so good?” to multi story masterpieces that will keep you full, and extremely happy. The best examples are found in San Sebastian where every local ingredient is included and represented properly. Take an afternoon siesta, then head to the Bars at 9pm, grab a drink, and have your best food experience.
