Ant-Man 3 will Officially Return, Peyton Reed will be Back to Direct

The heroic adventures of Scott Lang continues

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ant-Man 3 is currently being planned. The third movie will be headed by Peyton Reed, who also directed Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp. There are no further details at this time.

 

The Scott Lang of Paul Rudd was a key player in defeating Thanos, and the reports that Rudd will likely reprise his leading role. There are a number of characters from Avengers who will also receive new films in Marvel’s Phase Four universe — after Avengers: Endgame. According to the Reporter, Ant-Man 3 is expected to come after Doctor Strange in Madness and Thor’s Multiverse: Love and Thunder. It is expected to be in production at the end of next year or at the start of 2021.

Disney and Marvel Studios previously announced their plans for Phase Four at two major events last summer: San Diego Comic-Con and the D23 biennial convention of Disney. For fans gathered at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige outlined all of Phase Four.It included theatre releases and exclusive series from Disney+.

Feige later announced three new shows at D23: She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, and Moon Knight.

The initial Marvel movies in the post-Endgame universe is Spider-Man: Far from Home and Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow, which will be released on May 1st, 2020. Ant-Man 3 will soon follow.
