Recently, many fans of Quentin Tarantino were disheartened with his decision of quitting filmmaking after completing his tenth film. With his ninth directorial effort – Once Upon a Time in Hollywoodnow ready to hit the screens, fans are still waiting to know whether his final filmmaking effort will be Star Trek or not.

In the meanwhile, there is good news for Star Trek fans as a new American web series Star Trek: Picard will be getting unraveled very soon.

Coming back to Tarantino, it is known to all that he has written a script of an R-rated Star Trek and has also pitched the movie to Paramount and the producer J.J. Abrams. Still, one cannot be certain that it will be his tenth directorial movie because the studio hasn’t given a green signal officially to the project. Nevertheless, if this happens then definitely it will grab the attention of many including the fans of Star Wars.

For many, there could be “loophole” in this plan where Tarantino might do an original project even after directing Star Trek. However, in conversation to CinemaBlend Tarantino has stressed that 10 films are 10 films for him and if he will be directing “Star Trek” then it would be the last movie of his filmmaking career.

In the words of Tarantino “I guess I do have a loophole, [if] the idea was to throw a loophole into it…“Which would be [to go], ‘Uhhh, I guess ‘Star Trek’ doesn’t count. I can do ‘Star Trek’…but naturally I would end on an original.’ But the idea of doing 10 isn’t to come up with a loophole. I actually think, if I was going to do ‘Star Trek,’ I should commit to it. It’s my last movie. There should be nothing left handed about it. I don’t know if I’m going to do that, but that might happen.”

Speaking to GQ Australia Quentin Tarantino made it clear that he will now be planning to write theatre or film books as he has given what all he had to the movies.

“I think when it comes to theatrical movies, I’ve come to the end of the road. I see myself writing film books and starting to write theatre, so I’ll still be creative. I just think I’ve given all I have to give to movies.”

As of now, fans need to wait to know more about Tarantino and his last film because nothing has been declared officially by the production team of Star Trek.
