Elon Musk is one of the most popular personalities of the world who likes to remain in the limelight. A few weeks ago, we reported Elon Musk suggests to nuke Mars, and now he is working towards making humans multi-planet species who can hop from one planet to the other easily.

The CEO of Tesla likes to stay on top of his game. He recently made news when it was revealed that Tesla was behind the research of the million-kilometre battery in the electric vehicles. Now, the entrepreneur has unveiled a spaceship that he believes can help humans to become interplanetary species.

Standing in front of the Starship Mk1 prototype space vehicle at the SpaceX facility in Boca Chica, Texas, on Saturday he said: “This is the most inspiring thing I’ve ever seen.”

It has been 11 years since SpaceX made it to the orbit. It has also been three years since Elon Musk shared the idea of taking humans to the Red Planet. Since then, SpaceX has created Mk1 and Mk2. Mk3 is going to be bigger and better. It will begin construction in about a month and might be completed within the next three months after that.

Musk confirmed it by saying, “This is going to sound totally nuts, but we want to try and reach orbit in less than six months.” Elon Musk also revealed that if the plan of production is followed, the orbital vehicle could be even Mk4 or Mk5 prototype. Sharing the details of controlling this rocket, Musk said “This is quite a new approach to controlling a rocket. Much more akin to a skydiver than a plane.”

Believe it or not, Elon Musk also demonstrated how the craft would control the fall and used his hands to symbolise the ship. He also stressed that he was in love with steel. He is right because the steel would guard the spacecraft when it comes back to earth.

Interestingly, the Starship will be having orbital refilling, i.e., the fuel will be transferred between spacecraft in orbit. Elon Musk believes the process would be easier thank docking with the International Space Station. The starship will be boosted with the help of a rocket that didn’t get so much attention. It has twice as much thrust as the most powerful rocket ever built and has 37 Raptor engines.

All these talks of rockets and spaceships by Elon Musk are making us think of Guardians of the Galaxy. Won’t you agree?
