Elon Musk Teases Cars that Talk to (or Fart at) Pedestrians

Elon Musk has a wide imagination and the guts to make things he imagines real. It is probably why the man has a wide follower base and is a known name all over the world. Sometime back, he explored the possibility of giving the Tesla car owners the option of watching Netflix and YouTube in their cars. Now, the entrepreneur is exploring the option of creating cars that talk to pedestrians and even fart in their general direction.

 

Using Twitter, Elon Musk shared that soon the Tesla electric vehicles owners will be able to talk to the pedestrians thanks to external speakers. He tweeted this on Saturday “Teslas will soon talk to people if you want. This is real.” The CEO also shared a video with the tweet in which you can see a Tesla Model 3 with that upgrade and saying this to the car owner in a British accent “Well don’t just stand there staring, hop in.”

Elon Musk followed up with another sassy tweet in which he showed that a Tesla would also soon be able to fart in the general direction of the pedestrian. He didn’t use the word but used a wind emoji that implies what he is saying.

Though some people opine that the talking cars can be as imaginative as the Tesla Cybertruck, Elon Musk will likely make it a reality. Proof of that could be the recent changes made to Tesla vehicles.

In January last year, Tesla changed the underside of the front-end of its popular Tesla Model 3 and included a speaker grill to meet European and US regulations. It was done to ensure that pedestrians know of a notoriously quiet vehicle approaching them and be warned. Another update to Model 3 was the addition of a feature in which a tone is played if the vehicle is driving at less than 19 miles per hour.

 

There is no timeline on when Elon Musk will unveil the talking (and farting) versions of Tesla cars. It could be as soon as this year or might not be done for 5 years.
