Fortnite Star Tyler “Ninja” Blevins Joins Adidas Heroes

Another solid proof that playing video games isn’t bad at all 

Tyler “Ninja” Blevins success is intertwined with the popularity of Fortnite, a free game with more than 200 million players worldwide. Ninja is the most popular professional gamer in the world and reportedly earns more than $500,000 a month from live streams of his gameplay and earned the moniker of the Fortnite star. 

The Fortnite star is regarded by many as the best e-gamer on the planet, and certainly the most visible. In April 2018 Ninja overtook LeBron James and Cristiano Ronaldo to become the global athlete with the most social interactions.

Ninja has formed partnerships with a variety of companies including Microsoft, Samsung, Red Bull, Uber Eats, and NZXT.

 

With gaming and streaming continuously on the rise in popularity every big name in sneakers is trying to get the Fortnite star to their side of the fence. Adidas is continuously tapping the influencers at the frontline of any sports with their inaugural release seeing a surprise partnership with Fortnite star and streamer Ninja. There’s nothing specific about the endorsement but Adidas says that the partnership might lead to products in either the physical or virtual world.

The Fortnite star is always keen to stress he needed both hard work and a good medical condition to get to the position he’s in now. He continues to be in school, taking fewer hours in college spending 40 hours a week and taking two to three college courses, and still streaming somehow. 

Jordan Brand’s of Nike latest collaboration is with Epic games’ maker of Fortnite for their newest virtual shoes – Fortnite X Jordan Brand.

 

Fans can enjoy two Jordan-clad characters and a fresh game mode as part of the partnership. Two new skins are available; the Hangtime Bundle: the Clutch Outfit and the Get the Grind Outfit. Both skins come done in the signature red, white and black Jordan colors.

As for the shoes specifically, the new characters are clad in Air Jordan 1s. The colourways of the shoes can be customized by players, and new colour varieties can be unlocked by completing a challenge pack unique to the set.
