Frank Ocean Finally Releases His Luxury Brand, Homer

Featuring selection of Italian-made jewellery and silk scarves

Well, Frank Ocean never sticks with mediocrity. For most people, Frank Ocean going public usually always means that something big is cooking. The same applies to Homer, his new luxury company which he just recently revealed.

If you are wondering what Homer is, the press release has the answer for you. It is an “independent American luxury company founded by Frank Ocean.” And that is all the press release says about the company.

Specifically put, Homer features a premium selection of silk scarves and Italian jewellery. The items feature sterling silver that is recycled, hand-painted enamel, and 18K gold. Along with that, some items are also adorned with diamonds coming from the company’s high-end lab in the US.

Indeed, it is quite surprising to know that Frank Ocean owns a full-blown diamond lab. Even though Homer is a luxury brand, some items go for as little as $1000 (USD). However, some premium products such as the “Sphere Legs High Jewelry Necklace” costs almost $2.57 million (AUD).

But that is not all. Homer is also all set to collaborate with Prada. In fact, the Homer x Prada partnership will bring Frank Ocean to a full circle, as the musician has often been seen wearing Prada at notable events.

In that sense, Homer is certainly not a brand selling entry-level stuff. Regarding the brand, Franke Ocean stated, “I didn’t want our work to be any less expensive than Cartier.”

Other than that, the luxury brand is also not fully open to the public. For instance, those who want to buy the Frank Ocean debut collection will have to request a catalog through the official website or visit the outpost in New York after making an appointment.

Regarding his new brand, Homer, Frank Ocean also added, “This is 3 years in the making and there is so much I’m excited to share with all you strangers.”

In case you are wondering, the brand’s name Homer is not inspired by The Simpsons, as many fans previously thought. Instead, it comes from the famous Greek poet.

The official store of the brand will be the only one to feature the debut items. Though, users who want to buy their pieces can place orders via Signal after the opening.
