James Bond’s New Car Has Been Officially Named
Aston Martin

People have been waiting for the new James Bond movie for so long now that they devour every bit of information regarding the upcoming film no matter how remotely it is linked to the films. A few weeks after the James Bond behind the scenes pictures went viral, there’s another good news for the fans of the films. The vehicle driven by James Bond has been officially named.

The secret agent would be seen driving an Aston Martin named Valhalla and would probably use it to beat the new James Bond villain, Rami Malek in style. The name was officially announced by Aston Martin, and the prospect of it being the new toy of James Bond has been confirmed by many publications.

Valhalla is a mid-engine car that is developed in conjunction with the Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team. The name of the car was decided months back, and most publications were playing the guessing game on the name. The name is quite appropriate given Aston’s tradition of starting the sports car named with the alphabet V. For the uninitiated, Valhalla is taken from Norse mythology in which it is a huge heavenly hall where half of the warriors who are killed in combat are taken by female Valkyries.

Valhalla, the new James Bond car will have a V-12 engine and front-keel design. The car will also have active aerodynamics such as flexing wing elements that are built in the bodywork. Aston mentioned that only 500 Valhalla’s would be built at present. It will cost $A1.9m and will crank out about 1,000 horsepower. It will also have an appealing all-carbon-bodied coupe.

Though the production of Valhalla is limited to 500 only, the company will likely produce an open-topped version soon enough. It will allow you to get a James Bond car in the future. Valhalla is more than just a James Bond car; it’s the next V in the Aston Martin’s arsenal. The other Vs are Vantage, Vulcan, and Volante and the name for another (in development) mid-engine car is already in the works.
