Koenigsegg Regera Hybrid Hypercar Sets a New World Record

It beat the record set by the Agera

Koenigsegg Regera Hybrid Hypercar Breaks Own Records

Just recently, the Koenigsegg Regera, a 1500 horsepower hybrid hypercar took only 31.49 seconds to complete a sprint at nearly 250 mph. As of now, it is common knowledge the Koenigsegg has some of the fastest cars in the world. Among all of these cars, the brilliant yet bizarre Koenigsegg Regera car certainly lands somewhere among the top ones.

Despite the fact that the Regera was released in 2015, it has been setting up wild records. Based on an announcement on Friday, a 0-400-0 kph record has been set by the car within 31.49 seconds. Indeed, it is an impressive one!

Since Koenigsberg has been breaking amazing records, soon, it might also leaveBugatti Chiron behind.

It would take a while for a layman to let that sink in. However, supercar enthusiasts know that this is achievable yet quite difficult, given the fact that most cars will not even hit a speed 400 Kph at all. On top of that, accelerating to that speed and then coming back to 0 within 31.49 seconds is jaw-dropping!

The new record set Koenigsegg Regera means that the company beat its own previous record, which were set by the Agera RS hypercar (an earlier model). The Agera RS Hypercar is considered to be a much traditional beast.

Nevertheless, referring to the single-speed Koenigsegg Regera, let us not forget that the car featured a v8 twin-turbo engine. This engine works in unision with three electric motors.

Due to these motors, the Koenigsegg Regera does not have to deal with transmission. Hence, no shifting occurs. Consequently, the car’s power is about 1500 horsepower. According to the sources, similar tests are being carried out on the newest terror by Koenigsegg, called the Jesko. According to fans and enthusiasts, this car my even beat the records set by Regera. However, we cannot say that for sure just yet!

Nevertheless, other automotive companies will have to do plenty of effort to break the latest records set by Koenigsegg Regera. After all, a speed of 400 kph and back to 0 within 31.49 seconds is not big joke! While it may not sound like a big thing, it indeed is!
