Some Game of Thrones Season 8 Scenes Have Turned into a Meme Fest

Brace yourselves! Memes are coming!

Game of Thrones Season 8
Bran Stark, Game of Thrones – HBO

Game of Thrones is perhaps one of the most-talked-about series in the universe right now. The happenings around Game of Thrones Season 8 are ensuring that people keep talking about the series. If Jason Momoa’s badass entry at the premiere didn’t surprise you, the meme fest already kicked off after the iconic first episode of Game of Thrones Season 8 will surely do that.

Bran, who isn’t anyone’s favourite anyway had some memorable stares that kicked off a meme fest recently. For the uninitiated, Bran is an emotionless husk who likes to refer to himself as a three-eyed raven and has been an odd little chap since Season 6. In the first episode of Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 1, his main job seems to be sitting in Winterfell’s square and staring (spookily) at every person. He also tells Samwell Tarley that he’s waiting for an old friend.

We are pretty sure he’s talking about Jaime Lannister who had pushed him off a window ledge and has been riding to Winterfell since the end of Season 7.

His stares started epic memes by Twitter users, and they all just make us laugh out loud. Have a look at some of them here.

Bran was not the only one who was worthy of memes in the first episode of Game of Thrones Season 8. Viewers and meme makers were impressed by Arya’s activities as well. After all, she did meet her friend-cum enemy The Hound and elder brother Jon. The unexpected request from Cersei to have elephants in the Golden Company mercenary army also went viral. Have a look at the memes they inspired here.

Coming back to the much awaited first episode of Game of Thrones Season 8, it started with Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen marching to Winterfell with their armies of Unsullied, Dothraki and dragons. Jon meets Bran after years and introduces Sansa Stark to Daenerys.

Who will end up on the coveted Iron Throne is still big suspense but it seems that most of the fans have entitled Bran as their Meme Lord and expect him to give them the stares throughout Game of Thrones Season 8.
