Last month, Porsche announced the Turbo S and Taycan Turbo. Now, we have news of the Porsche Taycan 4S, which will be the third entry into this electric car lineup. However, the entry-level Porsche Taycan 4S is priced just over $103800. This would be equal to AUD 153007.12 roughly. However, the exact prices may vary from region to region.

Nevertheless, this starting price is not cheap at all. Given the fact that the Porsche Taycan 4S is dubbed as an entry-level vehicle, it is only $50000 cheaper as compared to the Taycan Turbo. The Taycan Turbo is itself priced at USD 150,900.

The Porsche Taycan 4S has two models in the market. One is the Performance Battery Plus, while the other is the Performance Battery. Though, both of these models are less powerful as compared to the other Taycan Turbo models.

As far as the specs go, the Porsche Taycan 4S is still a decent car for a new-comer. The car takes 3.8 seconds to go from 0 to 60 mph. The Turbo and Turbo S, on the other hand, take only 3 seconds and 2.6 seconds respectively. Furthermore, the Taycan 4S is capable of attaining a maximum speed of 155 mph. This is 6 mph lesser as compared to the other expensive Taycan models.

For an average driver, or someone who is new to the world of electric supercars, this difference may be negligible. However, it is quite noticeable for a person who has had some experience driving supercars before.

Despite all the bashing that came from Elon Musk, Porsche seems to be doing just fine. According to the company, the Performance Battery model of the Porsche Taycan 4S gives a range of 407 km whereas the Performance Battery Plus model gives a 463 km range. On the other hand, the Turbo S and Turbo would give 450 km and 412 km respectively.

So, without a doubt, Porsche Taycan 4S performance battery plus model gives the highest range as compared to all other Porsche EVs. Porsche has already started taking preorders for the new car, which will be released in USA during spring 2020, and in Europe in January 2020.
