Facebook tops the chart of highest paid intern salaries with Amazon, Salesforce, Google, Microsoft and Uber following it and thereby making 44% of the list headed by Tech companies offering high pay to interns.

Even Finance and consulting firms are not far behind with KPMG, Deloitte, and Goldman Sachs offering somewhere around $US 5,000 per month. Other industries in the list include aerospace, media, and biotech. The companies like Boeing, Bloomberg LP, and Genentech representing these industries are also giving not less than $US 4,000 per month to interns.

However, Apple is paying $US 6, 667 per month to the interns, which is not less yet not equal to Microsoft and Facebook.

Giving a comment on highest paid internships, Amanda Stansell, who is the Glassdoor economic research analyst, said in a release that “In today’s strong job market, it’s a great time for college students and recent graduates to enter the workforce and start their careers.”

The highest paid intern wages shows the desperation of Silicon Valley employers for skilled and talented people. Yet the question that puzzles many all across the globe is why the employees are not able to get so high wages.

One of the major reasons behind less highest paid employees in America is that there is a dearth of efficiently trained Americans who can fill the posts of high-skilled tech labors. On the other hand, the advertisements of tech companies, like Facebook says that “most interns ship code or contribute to real-world projects in their first week,” which means that they become the perfect options for future job candidates.

The situation is not much similar to Australia as here highest paid interns are not given wages so high even by Tech firms but if given it could be a boost for Australian interns too.
