Is Robert Pattinson the New Batman? Let’s Know the Truth.

He’s an interesting choice for the role of the Caped Crusader.

DC is one of the most iconic brands in the world of cinema that most of its Directors have the skill of picking the right person for the right role. Be it casting Idris Elba in the new in Suicide Squad or Gal Godot as Wonder Woman; they have been exceptionally good. Now, reports are coming in that Robert Pattinson has apparently been finalized as the new Batman and our jaw is dropped to the ground.

According to an exclusive by Variety, the great looking actor can play the lead role in The Batman by Director Matt Reeves that will be released on June 25, 2021. It is reported that the actor got the role as Reeves is still working on enhancing the script to get a final version he likes. Another media source reported that Nicholas Hoult could beat Robert Pattinson and can be named as the new Batman too. (No matter which of them is cast, we think the best decision DC made so far was casting Joaquin Phoenix as the new Joker).

 

Reeves took over the charge of directing Batman in January 2017 from Ben Affleck. He is well known for creating many marvellous films, the recent ones being the Planet of the Apes sequels. He was given the freedom to pick his own Batman, and he apparently thinks that Robert Pattinson could be the right man for the job. If that happens, Pattinson, who is 32, would be the youngest actor ever to play the role. A confirmation or denial from Warner Bros. is still pending.

For the uninitiated, Robert Pattinson rose to fame after playing the role of handsome and talented Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter film series who dies in the fourth film, the Goblet of Fire. His fame turned into superstardom when he was cast as a vampire, Edward Cullen in the popular teen-oriented fictional film series, Twilight.

 

Pattinson has made a lot of effort to be projected as someone more than just a handsome face and his roles in films like High Life and Good Time are proofs of that. He has also been cast in a lead role for a movie by Christopher Nolan that will be released in July 2020.
