Timothée Chalamet’s gorgeous curly hair has been a fascinating topic of discussion for some time now. But the fans of the Oscar nominee who are waiting with baited breaths for his appearance in The King are doomed for disappointment. The Call Me By Your Name star has a new bowl cut look that’s interesting but not as charming as those enviable curls. The look was revealed when The King trailer was unveiled recently.

The King trailer shows interesting glimpses of Hal, a wayward prince who later becomes King Henry V. It is inspired by different plays of Shakespeare about English King. Toel Garden, the co-writer of the film compared The King with Game of Thrones. The film is directed and co-written by David Michôd.

In the King Trailer, you can see Chalamet as Hal, a prince who needs to ascend to the throne after a righteous youth that involved spending time with lowlifes. The film also stars Ben Mendelsohn as King Henry IV, Edgerton as Falstaff, Robert Pattinson as The Dauphin, Lily-Rose Depp as Princess Catherine, Sean Harris as William, Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie as Philippa and Tom Glynn-Carney as Hotspur.

The King is expected to debut on Netflix this year, November 1. We are pretty sure it will be released after another Netflix’s anticipated show, El Camino.

The King trailer has a stark mood and grim tone people easily associate with previous films of Michôd. Just the setting has changed as the film is shot in a period setting. In the trailer, you can see Hal ascending to the throne after the death of his father and taking on the arduous task of becoming the new king. He struggles to find his way in a world full of treachery and backstabbing. He turns to John Falstaff for advice, who is an alcoholic knight.

For the uninitiated, Henry V is one of the most popular plays by William Shakespeare that has been adapted multiple times. It was created starring Laurence Olivier in 1944, Kenneth Branagh in 1989 and Tom Hiddleston in a 2012 (a BBC film).

So, the expectations from Timothée Chalamet would be high. One look at The King trailer, and we think he will do a good job. But only audience will decide the fate of this Netflix film!
