Breaking Bad

It’s been nearly six years since fans have seen “Heisenberg” and Jesse on the screen. Netflix announced that a new Breaking Bad movie will be on streaming service on October 11.

To refresh memories, the series tells the story of Walter White, Bryan Cranston, a struggling and depressed high school teacher turned the drug kingpin was diagnosed with stage-3 lung cancer. Together with his former student, Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), they produced and sold methamphetamine while navigating the dangers of the underworld to secure his family’s future. *Spoiler* In the final episode of that TV series, White sacrificed his life to save Pinkman from an Aryan Brotherhood gang, who was last seen speeding off in a stolen EL Camino Chevrolet to parts unknown.

Say What? Breaking Bad Movie Has Already Been Shot!

Breaking Bad movie will see the re-emergence of Jesse Pinkman as the excitable crystal meth cook, the show’s creator Vince Gilligan will be the writer of the Netflix flick.

It is still not clear if White will return to complete the duo who made the series a hit. Then again we’ve seen a lot of characters survive their encounters with death.

A spin-off from Gilligan’s prior hit series is Better Call Saul played by Bob Odenkirk as Jimmy McGill, a sleazy lawyer in both series. The action drama series follows the account of a con-man turned small-time lawyer who was transformed into the persona of criminal-for-hire Saul Goodman. The show has been renewed for a fifth season planned to premiere on 2020.

As of the moment, people still have no idea if Saul Goodman will appear in the El Camino: Breaking Bad movie. And nobody knows yet if Bryan Cranston, aka Walter White, will be in it. But in an interview, Cranston gave a hint that there’s a way for White to return to the Breaking Bad movie, through a flashback or a flash-forward.

Today, TV has produced so many deep and interesting stories fleshed out over many chapters that became hits. Netflix recognizes this and produced films such as Strong Island, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, Roma and the upcoming El Camino. Walt Disney is also trying to do this recently.
