Though the times have changed, the passion for James Bond remains the same. The way fans got super excited when leaked photos of the upcoming James Bond movie were released says a lot about the popularity of the James Bond franchise. If you also follow the 007 movies religiously, here’s some interesting news for you. Captain Marvel Star, Lashana Lynch will probably succeed Daniel Craig to be the next lead of the wildly popular spy franchise.

The British actress who plays the role of Maria Rambeau in Captain Marvel will appear in the upcoming Bond 25 film. So, when James Bond retires, she will be there to take his place. It will be interesting to see whether she plays any role in defeating the new James Bond villain (Rami Malek) or would that be handled by Craig alone.

As you might have guessed, when Captain Marvel star, Lashana Lynch, the beautiful black woman enters the film, James Bond would be attracted to her and would want to jump in the bed with her. However, insiders say that Bond’s charm won’t work on the strong-willed woman and she might just roll her eyes at him (at the beginning at least!). Maybe she knows James Bond’s alcoholic behaviour can be trouble, so a relationship with him is not a smart idea.

This is not the first time Lynch has taken over a role from another actor. When she was cast for Captain Marvel, she replaced DeWanda Wise who dropped out of Captain Marvel franchise due to scheduling problems.

The Bond 25 film is expected to hit the theatres in April 2020. It is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga (True Detective) and written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag and Killing Eve).

An insider has revealed that the term Bond girl is strictly forbidden as Lynch would be addressed as Bond Woman.

When (or if) there is an official confirmation of Lynch replacing Craig, it will be big news as Bond producers will make history by ensuring that a black woman plays the role of Agent 007.

What do you think of Lynch as the new 007? Will she do justice to the role as she did in Captain Marvel?
