You must have heard the classic phrase – actions speak louder than words. The first Bombshell trailer is a perfect example of that. The trailer than lasts for more than a minute has just three words but is impactful and memorable. The movie stars Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman and of course, Margot Robbie who is currently starring in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

The Bombshell trailer shows three women occupying the same tense elevator while tense music plays in the background; it doesn’t take a genius to speculate what the film is getting at. People who follow Hollywood would know that the story of the film follows ground-breaking allegations against Roger Ailes (played by John Lithgow) in 2016. When several women accused the CEO of Fox News of sexual harassment, it became a scandal and Ailes had to resign within a month.

Like Charlie’s Angels, three women are the key in the Bombshell trailer and film. Charlize Theon would play the role of Megyn Kelly, Nicole Kidman will be Gretchen Carlson, and Margot Robbie will be Kayla Pospisil. The latter is a fictional associate producer created by the filmmakers.

Bombshell is slated to release in Australia in January 2020. It is perfectly timed for an Oscar run. The cast of the film also includes Kate McKinnon, Connie Britton, and Allison Janney. Though this Bombshell trailer is pretty quiet, we are sure it’s created some tension at Fox News. Many people were appeased when the Fox showed everyone how to apologize and offered a stunning apology to Carlson, the first woman to accuse Ailes. Some were still angry, and this trailer might evoke those feelings of anger once again.

Bombshell is not the first fictional adaption of the scandal. An acclaimed miniseries, The Loudest Voice starring Russell Crowe as Ailes is streaming on stan. In that series, Naomi Watts plays the role of Carlson. Interestingly, Watts is an Aussie too and friend of Kidman in real life. So, maybe the beauties shared notes or talked about the character at some point in time.
