The Batman movies have been hits for a reason. They have the perfect cast. After roping in Robert Pattinson as the next Batman, the makers are in talks with Jonah Hill to play the next Batman villain. Will he or won’t he agree to take on the challenge, we can only speculate. Here’s what the reports are saying on this development.

Variety has reported that Jonah Hill might be cast as villain in Matt Reeves’ The Batman while Jeffrey Wright might also be cast as Commissioner Gordon. Reports say that the producers wanted Jonah Hill to be the Batman villain for a long time now, but the casting decisions were halted until they could find the right batman.

If Jonah Hill agrees to take the role, he would need to work hard to replace the existing Joker who has entertained people for years. The recent success of the Joker movie proves how people love to hate the Batman villain.

Warner Bros, Jonah Hill, and Jeffrey Wright’s reps couldn’t be reached for a comment on this speculation.

The pre-production of the next movie is to start this summer. It can be as early as late 2019 and or early 2020. If that’s the case, then Jonah Hill might have to make the decision sooner rather than later.

The film will be directed by Reeves, who is replacing Ben Affleck. Hill was last seen in Netflix series Maniac while Wright stars in HBO’s Westworld.

According to early reports, the next Batman movie will focus on the Penguin and one more character who is unknown to date. There’s no confirmation of which role Hill is being approached for, but we are sure that he will suit whatever role he is picked for. After all, the actor has proven time and again that he is a born performer, a perfectionist, and a man who brings in versatility to every role.

The Batman is expected to hit the Australian theatres in winter of 2021, with or without Jonah Hill and we’re already excited about the release.
