Only a few weeks after initial reports of The Matrix 4 started pouring in; the moviemakers have added another member to its cast. Warner Bros confirmed on Wednesday that Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, widely known for his role of Black Manta in Aquaman is in talks to play a role in the film. What will he be doing in The Matrix 4? Variety has reported that the actor will play one of the main roles in The Matrix 4. ComicBook.com claims that Abdul-Mateen will play the younger version of Morpheus. The role was played by Laurence Fishburne in the original 1999 film.

The Matrix 4 will be produced, co-written and directed by Lana Wachowski. Carrie-Anne Moss and Keanu Reeves will reprise their roles of Trinity and Neo. As both the characters died in The Trinity, it would be interesting to see how they are brought back in the film.

 

The journey of Matrix began in 1999 film in which the action scenes were phenomenal. They were a blend of Japanese animation and martial arts. The action scenes were so good that numerous movies have imitated the scenes. Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions were released in 2003. They were follow-ups to the original film.

Barely anything has been revealed about The Matrix 4 as the makers are keeping the lid tightly closed. Even the title and plot details are not yet revealed. The film will begin production in 2020, but no exact dates have been unveiled yet. There’s no revelation regarding the release date of the film.
