If you are a fan of sci-fi shows like Star Wars and you want something equally interesting, you are in luck. It has been recently confirmed that another science fiction show that is set hundreds of years in the future, The Expanse will have a fifth season. That’s what we call excellent planning because hey, the fourth season hasn’t aired yet!

Though The Expanse is not nearly as popular as top shows like Game of Thrones, it is also based on a book series by Ty Franck and Daniel Abraham. The story revolves around the crew of Rocinante in a space-faring future for humanity that is full of exploration, territory conflicts, and unexpected dangers.

The Expanse came to attention last year too when the show was cancelled on May 11, 2018, by Syfy and the fans went crazy. Thankfully, Amazon (that also allows you to watch cool shows like Good Omens) came to save the day and picked up The Expanse for a fourth season, just a few days after it was cancelled.

The renewal of The Expanse came before the airing of the fourth season, and the makers are betting on the love of the fans and general excellence of the show to plan for the future. In Season Four, the heroes would go beyond the Ring Gate to explore more Earth-like worlds which will intensify several colonial conflicts between the Martian, Earther, and Belter nations.

If you are a fan of The Expanse and you want to watch it in Australia, you need to know that Season 1 and 2 are available on Netflix and you need to wait a little longer to know how to watch the rest of the seasons.

The details of The Expanse season 5 are covered up by Amazon. Everything from the release date to the storyline is not made public yet. It is also not clear whether the season would be based on the books or not. Guess we just have to hang in here and hope it does because the makers of GoT messed up when they stopped following the books.
