The Rock, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot to Star in Red Notice

It’s the biggest feature film ever by Netflix

When you hear the names, The Rock, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot, you instantly think of a high budget film as working with these superstars is costly. Netflix seems to be up for the job because it’s planning to cast all three stars in Red Notice, an action-comedy film that will revolve around globe-trotting heist (no Murder Mystery, sorry).

 

Dwayne Johnson, who recently grabbed attention for coming up with Mana, the Rock’s Tequila brand, confirmed the project. He also said that with this project, Netflix has demonstrated that they are perfect partners for the project. The Rock admired Netflix’s aim to be one of the biggest movie studios in the world and appreciated their commitment to entertaining the international audience via original content.

The Hobbs and Shaw star also seemed excited about the project when he said that he intends to have a lot of fun while creating the film. The Rock added that he could imagine the fun people in more than 190 countries would have while watching the film at the same moment.

 

Though Red Notice was set to be released by Universal Studios, Netflix bid for the project and grabbed it when the former hesitated to get the project going. Red Notice is going to be an expensive project as Rawson Thurber is getting an eight-figure deal and the fee charged by The Rock is also quite steep.

Red Notice will be produced by FlynnPictureCo’s Beau Flynn, Johnson and Thurber, Hiram and Dany Garcia under the Steven Bucks Production banner. Scott Sheldon is named as an executive producer for the project.

Though there is no word on the release date of the film, estimates are that it will be released in November next year. As Netflix usually releases details of the movies and shows until they are upon us, we’ll let you know of the release dates as soon as we can.
