The Joker Final Trailer Revealed: Depressed to Villainous Psychopath
Joker – Warner Bros. Pictures – DC Films

As hinted by Joker teaser trailers, the final trailer of The Joker was unveiled on Wednesday. It gave the audience another glimpse of how a failed stand-up comedian turned into a villainous psychopath. The trailer shed more light on the hardships faced by the character and how it slowly turned him from a sad soul to a nasty one.

The Joker might not be as scary as IT Chapter 2, but it is rawer and seems real. In the final trailer of the Joker, you can see Arthur Fleck living in 1981 Gotham City that resembles ‘70s, New York. He is taking care of his mother (Frances Conroy), and they both live in a run-down apartment. He works as rent by the hour Joker in the day and aims to be a stand-up comedian at night. But he fails.

The trailer begins with Fleck on a bus and making faces at a young child. Then he can be seen in a therapy session. He accuses the therapist of not listening to him and asking the same questions like how’s your job and are you having any negative thoughts. Fleck then tells his therapist all he has are negative thoughts which hints that he is turning into a psychopath.

The Joker becomes fully realized, and we see sequences like crashing of cars or loads of clown-mask-wearing crusaders. By the time the trailer ends, Fleck says he wants to be introduced as the Joker, nothing else. It means that he has turned into the villain most people fear andBatman has to fight!

The Joker final trailer also shows glimpses of Zazie Beetz’s Sophie Dumond and Robert De Niro’s Murray Franklin. The latter is a talk show host who plays a role in Arthur’s dark turn.

In case you missed the first trailer of The Joker that was released in April this year, you should know Joker aims to be a “gritty character study” of DC’s most famous criminal clown- as per film’s official synopsis.
